Will this hose work alright with standard hydraulic fluid, or does it need somethin' special?
Question by: Denise H on Jun 17, 2025, 4:13 PM
Designed for hydraulic systems using petroleum and water-glycol base fluids, this hose handles lubricating oils and water, so standard hydraulic fluid should be just fine.

trying to replace a worn hose on a -6 line, is this GH663-6R250 actually 3/8 inch and single wire braid?
Question by: Randy B on Nov 10, 2025, 7:12 PM
Fit-wise, GH663-6R250 is a dash size -6 hose with a 0.38 inch product width and a 1 ply wire braid reinforcement. It also uses a nitrile tube with a PVC/nitrile blend cover.

can this hose handle both water-glycol fluid and regular hydraulic oil, or is it one or the other?
Question by: Kirk C on Aug 30, 2025, 7:33 PM
Both are supported. The nitrile tube material is compatible with petroleum-based hydraulic fluid, water-glycol fluid, water, and lubricating oils, so you don't have to choose between them. That makes it a solid option for systems that run different fluid types or where the fluid mix changes seasonally.
