Product Questions & Answers

got a -4 hose on a tight run, how sharp can i bend this one without kinking it?
Question by: Hubert J on Feb 14, 2026, 3:14 PM
For tight routing, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 1.97 inches. Keeping your bend at or above that radius helps it hold its shape and avoid damage in service.

hose says it works with water-glycol fluids, we run that in a couple of our hydraulic units. just want to make sure this ain't gonna break down on us after a few months of use
Question by: Glen F on Mar 12, 2026, 5:20 PM
Water-glycol base fluids are one of the listed compatible fluid types for this hose, so you're covered there. The nitrile tube and PVC/nitrile blend cover are both suited for that kind of service. On top of that, the impulse cycle life is rated at 400,000 cycles, which speaks to how well it holds up over time in working systems. Not a hose that's going to give out quick on you.

Reckon this hose will hold up alright for running hydraulic fluid on my tractor? Gets pretty hot out here in the summer.
Question by: Freddie G on Mar 29, 2026, 7:56 AM
Application-wise, it's designed for hydraulic systems that use petroleum and water-glycol base fluids, lubricating oils, and water, so it should be compatible with hydraulic fluid. As for the heat, this hose has a nitrile tube and PVC/nitrile blend cover to withstand tough conditions, but it's always best to check the temperature rating of your specific fluid to ensure it aligns with the hose's capabilities.
