Product Questions & Answers

got a -4 hose run on a little hydraulic setup, how tight can i bend this one without kinkin it
Question by: Roy H on Dec 15, 2025, 3:07 PM
Minimum bend radius on this hose is 3.94 inches, so you want your routing to stay at or above that radius to avoid kinking and premature wear.

hose says it's good for phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, we run some pretty aggressive stuff through our lines. that gonna hold up or is this more of a light-duty setup?
Question by: Tommy A on Nov 18, 2025, 9:03 PM
Phosphate ester base fluids are explicitly listed as a compatible fluid type for this hose, alongside hydraulics, crude, fuel and lubricating oils, gasoline, and water. The AQP inner tube material is what makes that compatibility possible, it handles a broader range of fluids than standard rubber tubes. At dash size -4 with a 1-ply wire braid construction, this isn't a light-duty product. It's rated for 400,000 impulse cycles and meets ISO 1436-1 Type 1SN, SAE 100R1 Type S, and EN853 1SN standards, so it's built to take real working conditions seriously.

Reckon this hose will hold up okay for running hydraulic fluid on my tractor? Gets pretty hot out here in the summer.
Question by: Steve C on Dec 8, 2025, 3:21 PM
Designed to handle hydraulics, fuel, and lubricating oils, this hose is also rated for a minimum working temperature of -40F, so the summer heat shouldn't be a problem.
