Been running some equipment in a saltwater environment and corrosion's always been a headache. What kind of coating does this adapter have on it?

Carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating is what you're getting here. That plating is specifically meant to hold up against corrosion, which makes it a solid pick for marine or offshore drilling setups where moisture and salt are constant problems. It's one of the reasons this adapter gets spec'd into those kinds of environments in the first place.
