Product Questions & Answers

got a tight spot on a hose run, what are the ends on this elbow adapter?
Question by: Billy J on Jan 15, 2026, 8:26 PM
On the connection side, it is a 90 degree adjustable elbow with a SAE 37 degree male on one end and a BSPP male on the other. The end sizes are 0.4375 for the SAE 37 end and 0.25 for the BSPP end.

Will this elbow adapter hold up in a saltwater environment on my boat?
Question by: Brett C on Sep 24, 2025, 6:00 PM
Dura-Kote plating gives this adapter superior corrosion resistance, which is important for marine applications.

This adapter says it works for marine and offshore drilling, does the coating actually hold up when it's exposed to saltwater or chemical runoff on a regular basis?
Question by: Chad H on Feb 22, 2026, 7:53 AM
Eaton Aeroquip put Dura-Kote plating on this one specifically because corrosion is a real concern in those environments. Carbon steel on its own wouldn't cut it for saltwater or chemical exposure, but the Dura-Kote finish is what gives it the durability edge in marine and offshore drilling setups. That's not just a marketing claim either, it's the reason this adapter is listed for chemical processing and food and beverage applications too, where surface integrity matters a lot.
