What’s the deal with the ends on this thing? One's got that O-ring thing, and the other is flared, right? Just wanna make sure I’m seeing it right.

You got it. This elbow has a male O-Ring face seal (ORFS) on one end and a male JIC 37-degree flare on the other. That's what makes it handy for connecting different types of hydraulic lines.
