trying to hook a 3/8 JIC hose up to a 3/8 ORB port but need to turn the corner, is this the right swivel?

For a 90 degree turn, it connects a 3/8 in male JIC (SAE 37) end to a 3/8 in male ORB end, and the joint swivels so you can rotate it during assembly to help keep the hose from getting twisted.

got a hose running at a 90 on a mobile hydraulic setup and the current fitting keeps putting stress on the line during operation, would this swivel joint help with that?

Swivel joints in this series are built to rotate at the joint itself, which takes the torsional load off the hose and line during both assembly and normal service. For a 90-degree routing change on mobile equipment, that rotation is exactly what keeps the line from fighting itself over time. The 3/8 male JIC end and 3/8 male ORB port cover a pretty common pairing on mobile hydraulic circuits, so fitment on that type of setup is well within what this part is made for.
