what size tube does this adapter work with, and will it fit standard 3/8 fittings I already got on my system?

The 3/8 inch tube O.D. is what this one's built around, so if your existing connections are running 3/8 tube, you're in good shape. The A thread is 11/16-16 and the B thread is 9/16-18, so just make sure those thread sizes line up with what you've got on both ends before you order.

trying to swap out an old straight adapter, are the thread sizes on this one 11/16-16 on one end and 9/16-18 on the other?

The A end is 11/16-16 thread and the B end is 9/16-18 thread. Both sides are listed with a 0.256 drill size.
