What size drill bit do I need for the A thread on this thing?

For the A thread, you're gonna want a 0.264 drill bit.

got a FS2404-06-08 in hand, how do i make sure this is the same 06MFS-08MP straight before i tear into the line?

Got a 3/8 tube line I need to tie into a 1/2-14 port, this the right fitting for that?

That's what this fitting handles. The tube side is sized for 3/8 O.D. tube, and the male pipe thread on the other end is 1/2-14, so it bridges those two connections in a straight configuration. The A thread runs 11/16-16 and the B thread is 1/2-14, so as long as your port and tube match those specs, you're in good shape.
