what thread size does this cap fit? trying to make sure it matches up with my -06 JIC fittings before I order a bunch of em

Fits a 9/16-18 thread, which is the standard thread for -06 JIC flared fittings. As long as your fittings are sized -06 JIC, these caps will thread right on.

So, this is just a cap to protect the threads, right? Not something that actually seals anything?

That's correct; this polyethylene cap is designed solely to protect the JIC threads on flared fittings from damage and contamination during storage or transit. It does not provide a pressure seal.

made for -06 JIC fittings with a 9/16-18 thread. If that matches what you're capping off, you're good to go. They're polyethylene, so they thread on clean and come off just as easy when you're ready to make your connections.

For a -06 JIC flared fitting that uses 9/16-18 threads, this cap is the matching size. It is made to thread on and cover that connection to keep the threads and flare area protected.
