Does this fitting work without having to flare the steel line or anything like that? Just trying to keep the job simple.

no flaring needed. The compression-style design handles the connection mechanically, so you can join the Fuelflex hose to the 5/16-inch steel line without any welding or flaring equipment. Makes the whole job a lot more straightforward.

got a 5/16 steel fuel line and need to tie into Fuelflex hose, is this the right piece or am i off?
