Product Questions & Answers

got a hose setup with an ORS port, is this one the female swivel end or am I lookin at the wrong thing
Question by: Roy H on Nov 1, 2025, 4:29 PM
For connection style, it uses a female ORS swivel on one end, with the other end intended for a line, hose, or tube connection. It is a crimp fitting assembly meant for hydraulic hose setups.

Reckon this fitting would hold up okay in a hydraulic system running near a saltwater environment?
Question by: Janice F on Oct 24, 2025, 12:24 PM
Dura-Kote plating on this Aeroquip fitting provides enhanced corrosion resistance, so it should offer better protection against rust and degradation compared to standard carbon steel fittings. Keep in mind, though, that regular inspection and maintenance is still recommended to maximize lifespan in harsh conditions.

What's this fitting made out of, and is it gonna hold up in a rough environment?
Question by: Warren B on Dec 8, 2025, 7:19 PM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid corrosion resistance, so it can handle the kind of exposure you'd expect in a working industrial setting. The plating is specifically there to fight off the wear and rust that tends to shorten fitting life in demanding conditions. Eaton Aeroquip built the whole FIT system around maximizing uptime and keeping hose assemblies running longer, so durability was clearly a priority in the design.
