What kind of thread does this fitting have, and which end does it go on?

The male thread end runs 0.75-inch UNF, and that's your connection point for the panel or wall side of the installation. The opposite end handles the line, hose, or tube connection and carries a 0.88-inch hex for wrench access. Both ends are part of the same nipple assembly, so everything comes as one unit ready to drop into your EZ-Clip setup.

got a bulkhead pass-through spot on my panel, is this one actually set up for that kind of install?

For panel or wall-mounted pass-through setups, the straight bulkhead configuration is the whole point of this nipple assembly. It lets your hose or tube line run through a fixed surface while keeping the connection secure on each side.
