Product Questions & Answers

fitting's got Dura-Kote on it, how well does that actually hold up against rust and corrosion out in the field?
Question by: Brenda K on Oct 11, 2025, 8:37 AM
Carbon steel fittings without a protective coating won't last long in wet or chemically active environments, but the Dura-Kote plating on this one is specifically there to push back against corrosion in demanding service conditions. It's not just a cosmetic finish. Eaton Aeroquip engineered it as part of a longer-service-life system, so the plating is meant to contribute to keeping the full hose assembly running longer between replacements. For general hydraulic field use where moisture and grime are a regular factor, it holds up well.

Is this fitting made to last a while in a hydraulic setup that sees some weather?
Question by: Cheryl F on May 27, 2025, 7:43 PM
Dura-Kote plating on this Eaton Aeroquip fitting provides enhanced corrosion resistance, which should help it hold up well in demanding environments.

trying to swap out a 90 degree ORS end on a -4 hose, is this the right one with the 9/16 thread?
Question by: Neal B on Sep 15, 2025, 12:58 PM
Match up three things: it is a permanent crimp fitting for a -4 dash hose, it is a 90 degree elbow, and the swivel ORS end uses a 9/16-inch thread. If those are what you are replacing, this one lines up.
