fitting's got a 90-degree elbow on it, does that drop dimension of 2.18 inches give enough clearance when you're working in tight spots around a crowded valve block?

For confined routing situations, that 2.18-inch drop is worth accounting for before you commit to the assembly. The long drop elbow geometry on this fitting is meant to give you the offset you need to clear obstructions and route hose without sharp bends, but you'll want to confirm your available vertical clearance matches up with that dimension before installation. The 0.84-inch width is fairly compact, so side-to-side space usually isn't the issue. It's that drop that needs room.
