what's this fitting made out of and is it gonna hold up in a rough shop environment?

It's designed for use with a line/hose/tube interface. The end measures 0.75 inches, and it's made for a hose dash size -8.

trying to swap out a fitting on a -8 hose, is this one a straight male O-ring deal or am i lookin at the wrong thing
