Does this fitting need any thread sealant when you put it in, or does it seal up on its own?

No sealant needed on this one. The 08MFS-08MAORB is built to seal without tape or compound, which makes the install a good bit cleaner and cuts down on prep time. Just thread it in properly and you're good to go.

got a tight run on a hydraulic line, what’s the point of a 45 degree elbow like this one
