got a hose with a 6 ORFS end and the other side is 4 BSPP. is this the straight adapter for that hookup?

Built for joining those two thread styles, it connects a 6 ORFS end to a 4 BSPP end in a straight, fixed adapter so you can tie components together for fluid transfer.

Got a BSPP port on some older equipment and need to tie into an ORFS line, this the right piece for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. The 6 ORFS on one end connects to an O-ring face seal fitting, and the 4 BSPP on the other ties into your British Standard Parallel Pipe port. Brennan Industries makes this one, part number FS7709-06-04, and it's a straight fixed adapter so there's no swivel or adjustable end to mess with. Clean, solid connection between the two thread types.

So, is this thing fixed? I don't see no adjustment screw or nothin'.

That's right, this adapter is designed without any adjustable end. It maintains a steady and fixed connection, which helps keep maintenance to a minimum and efficiency high.
