You’re looking at an ORS Male to ORS Male straight adapter, so it’s meant to join two ORS female ends in a straight run.

What kind of plating does this adapter have on it, and is it gonna hold up in wet or salty environments?

Carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating is what you're getting here. That coating is specifically built to push back against corrosion, which is why this adapter shows up in marine and offshore drilling specs. It's not bare steel that'll rust out on you quick. For wet or salt-exposed setups, that plating is doing real work to extend the service life.

Reckon this adapter would hold up okay in a chemical plant environment? Lots of corrosion concerns around here.

Dura-Kote plating gives this Eaton Aeroquip ORS adapter enhanced corrosion resistance, so it should be a good fit for chemical processing and other environments where that's a concern.
