What kind of corrosion protection does this adapter have, and would it hold up in an offshore drilling setup?

got a 6 ORB male port but the other side needs to step down to a 4 ORB female. is that what this reducer does?

Function-wise, it is a straight SAE O-Ring Boss adapter that reduces from a male SAE ORB end size of 0.5625 inch to a female SAE ORB end size of 0.4375 inch.
