Got a hydraulic line coming off a pump with a 1/2 NPT female port and I need to tie into a SAE O-ring boss fitting that's 1-5/16-12. This the right adapter for that?

Yeah, that's exactly what this one's built for. One end is 1/2-14 female NPT and the other is 1-5/16-12 male SAE O-ring boss, so it bridges those two thread types in a straight configuration. No additional thread sealant is needed on the ORB side since the O-ring handles the seal. Just make sure your NPT port is clean and in good shape before threading it in.
