Been trying to track down an adapter that goes from female NPT pipe thread to male SAE o-ring boss in a straight configuration, this the right part for that?

That's exactly what this fitting does. One end is 1-1/2-11-1/2 female NPT and the other is 1-7/8-12 male SAE O-Ring Boss with straight thread. It's a straight adapter, no angle, so the ports line up in-line with each other. Made by Eaton Aeroquip under their 2216 Series, and it's steel construction.
