trying to hook a pipe thread port up to a JIC line, is this the one that goes 1-11-1/2 female npt to 1-5/8-12 male jic?

For connecting those two standards, it matches what you described. One side is a 1-11-1/2 Female NPT thread, and the other side is a 1-5/8-12 Male JIC 37 degree flare, in a straight adapter body.

Got a line running 1-inch NPT female port on a manifold block and need to tie into a JIC system on the other end. This adapter gonna bridge that gap without me having to run a whole new line?

That's exactly the scenario this fitting handles. The female NPT side is threaded 1-11/2, which covers a 1-inch nominal pipe connection, and the male JIC end runs 1-5/8-12 with a 37 degree flare seat. Both ends land on opposite sides of a straight body, so you get a clean inline transition with no bends or offsets.
