fitting's got a 3/8 NPT female end on it -- does that mean it'll thread straight onto a standard pipe port without needing any kind of bushing or reducer in between?

A 3/8-18 NPT female threads directly onto a standard 3/8 NPT male pipe port, no bushing or reducer needed. The male JIC end on the other side is a 7/16-20 with a 37-degree flare seat, so whatever line or fitting you're connecting there needs to match that spec. At 1.43 inches long it's a compact straight adapter, which makes it easy to work into tighter hydraulic connections runs without a lot of extra bulk.

got a hose end that’s 7/16-20 JIC, will this adapter screw right onto it and still let me go into 3/8-18 NPT?
