got a 1/2 female NPT port on a manifold and need to hook up a JIC line, this the right adapter for that?

That's the situation this part was made for. One end is 1/2-14 female NPT, the other is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. Straight configuration, so no angle to deal with. It's from Eaton Aeroquip's 2022 Series, which covers this kind of NPT-to-JIC transition in a compact, direct fitting.

got a hose end that’s 7/16-20 JIC, and the port on my block is 1/2-14 female NPT. is this the right adapter to tie those together

It bridges those two thread types in a straight adapter. One side is 1/2-14 female NPT (NPTF internal pipe) and the other side is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare seat.

Reckon this adapter will hold up okay in a marine environment? I'm using it on a boat.

This Eaton Aeroquip adapter is suitable for marine applications, as well as military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and food and beverage processing.
