Will this here adapter work alright for connecting a British standard pipe fitting to a JIC flare?

This adapter is specifically made to connect a 1-11 female BSPP (British Parallel) thread to a 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare.

Got a line running BSPP on one end and JIC on the other, does this fitting bridge that gap without needing any tape or sealant on the threads?

no sealant needed on this one. The female BSPP side is a parallel thread, and the male JIC end seals through the 37 degree flare contact, so both connections do their job without thread compound or tape. Makes the install pretty straightforward once your lines are in position.
