Product Questions & Answers

got a diagnostic test port setup, is this the socket end that snaps on one-handed or am i lookin at the wrong piece
Question by: Merle B on Nov 2, 2025, 4:06 PM
For diagnostic pressure testing work, this socket uses an automatic sleeve so you can push to connect with one hand. It is a flush face, 2 way valved coupler, which helps keep fluid loss low at about 0.10 cubic centimeter and air inclusion low at about 0.02 cubic centimeter.

sleeve lock on this thing, does that mean it actually stays put once you push it in, or is it the kind that wiggles loose under pressure?
Question by: Tammy P on Jan 28, 2026, 12:11 PM
Once connected, the sleeve lock holds it secure. You push it in one-handed and the sleeve engages automatically, so it's not going to back out on you. The coupling is also rated to connect and disconnect at up to 500 psi, which means it can handle live-line pressure without needing to bleed the system down first. That's the main reason these get used for diagnostic pressure testing on hydraulic systems.

Will this work for diagnostic pressure testing on my tractor's hydraulic system?
Question by: Brent B on Nov 27, 2025, 6:42 AM
Yes, this FD90 series coupling is designed for diagnostic pressure testing in hydraulic systems.

does this thing work at pressures up to 500 psi or do you have to depressurize the line first before connecting it
Question by: Kent M on Feb 8, 2026, 7:18 AM
You can connect and disconnect at up to 500 psi without depressurizing the line first. The self-sealing valve design handles that pressure during both connection and disconnection, which saves a fair amount of time when you're running diagnostic checks on a live hydraulic system.

i need a diagnostic quick disconnect for pressure testing, what’s this FD90 socket actually meant to do?
Question by: Kirk C on Jun 7, 2025, 1:03 PM
For diagnostic pressure testing on hydraulic systems, it gives you a quick way to connect and disconnect a test point using a one hand push to connect sleeve. The flush face valving helps keep fluid loss low and keeps air inclusion down during hook up.

Can this thing handle fuel? I see "fuel check coupling" in the name.
Question by: Chad M on Sep 11, 2025, 4:57 PM
It's designed for diagnostic pressure testing in hydraulic systems, so fuel compatibility should be fine, but always verify fluid compatibility with the manufacturer's documentation to be 100% sure.
