got a 1-1/2" npt female port on a hose, will this male plug thread right in or is it some oddball thread

The male end on this plug is 1-1/2 inch NPTF, and it is intended to mate with an NPT female end. It is the male half of the Eaton Aeroquip Hansen FD85 Series quick disconnect.
