got two hydraulic motors that don’t see the same load, is this Permco flow divider meant to keep the flow split even when one starts working harder
Question by: Scott O on May 31, 2025, 12:39 PM
In mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, a flow divider like this is used when you need consistent flow distribution across two or more branches even as the load changes from one actuator or motor to the next.

Reckon this'll hold up splitting flow on a log splitter, or is it more for lighter-duty stuff?

Designed for hydraulic circuit management, the Permco Flow Divider is typically used in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems, including demanding mobile equipment and industrial machine applications. It's built to handle consistent flow distribution even with load variation, so it should be suitable for a log splitter, assuming the flow rates are within its specs.

part number FD5100BAXNA25-1J, is that the same unit as FD5100BAXNA25-1JNA25AX, or are those two different parts?

Same unit. The longer number is just an alternate part number tied to the same Series 5100 flow divider. Both reference the identical component, so either one will pull up the right part when you're cross-referencing or ordering.
