Product Questions & Answers

does this hose work with R134a and R22 both, or just one of 'em?
Question by: Daryl Y on Dec 18, 2025, 12:55 PM
Compatible with both. The FC802 series covers R12, R22, R134a, R502, MP39, and MP66 refrigerants, so you're not locked into a single application. That kind of multi-refrigerant range makes it useful across a mix of older and newer systems without needing different hose stock for each one.

hose is rated for R134a right? got an older transport refrigeration unit and need something that'll hold up to the refrigerant without breaking down on me
Question by: Diane W on Dec 5, 2025, 7:24 AM
R134a is one of the refrigerants this hose is built to handle. It's also compatible with R12, R22, R502, MP39, and MP66, so it covers a pretty wide range of systems. The effusion rate for HFC 134a is rated at .25 lbs/ft2/yr at 176 degrees F, which puts it well within what you'd expect for a quality refrigerant hose in a transport application.

got an older a/c setup that still sees r12 and sometimes r134a, is this hose actually meant for both or am i asking for trouble
Question by: Kent C on Jun 15, 2025, 7:39 PM
For transportation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, the FC802 series hose is listed as compatible with R12, R22, R134a, R502, MP39, and MP66 refrigerants. It also exceeds SAE J2064 and carries SAE J51 certification, which lines up with typical A/C and refrigeration hose requirements.
