Product Questions & Answers

got a bus AC line to redo, is this hose actually meant for that kind of work
Question by: Ronnie P on Nov 18, 2025, 2:59 PM
For bus and rail air conditioning and refrigeration service, this Aeroquip hose is a match. It is built for AC and refrigeration applications and it is listed as compatible with multiple refrigerants, with a conductive chloroprene tube and a black EPDM cover for abrasion resistance.

hose is rated down to -40 degrees, but what's the highest temp it can handle during normal AC operation, and does the cover hold up to engine bay heat?
Question by: Joyce M on Sep 20, 2025, 3:04 PM
The minimum working temperature listed for this hose is -40 degrees, which covers cold start and winter conditions well. On the upper end, the effusion rate spec is measured at 80 degrees Celsius, which gives you a reasonable indicator of where the hose has been validated for performance. The black EPDM cover provides standard abrasion resistance, so it handles typical under-hood and engine bay exposure without issues.
