What kind of hose works with this fitting? Gotta make sure I get the right stuff.

It's compatible with GH134 multi-refrigerant hose. Aeroquip hose components are strongly recommended.

what all do I need on hand before putting one of these fittings together? Trying to make sure I ain't halfway through the job missing something.

Before you get started, round up a pair of FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers, a guillotine blade or equivalent square-cut hose cutter, two appropriately sized clips and a cage, and enough refrigerant oil compatible with your system to generously lubricate the nipple. You'll also need GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose. The seal part included with this fitting is 1F40106-10, so that's already covered. One thing worth knowing up front: those two black o-rings on the nipple assembly are a specific compound and should never be removed or replaced.
