E-Z Clip Series Fitting, 7/8-14 Female O-Ring (Short Pilot), -10 Hose, Straight With Low Side Charge Port (R134a)

For an R134a low side charge port setup, this is a straight E-Z Clip fitting for -10 hose with a 7/8-14 female O-ring end and a short pilot. It’s built for refrigeration and A/C connections where you want a female O-ring seal and a low side service port in the same fitting.

You'll need a few specific items to do the job right. A set of FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers is required to close the clips properly. For cutting the hose, a guillotine blade like the FT1356 or a comparable clean-cutting tool will work. You'll also need two appropriately sized clips and a cage per fitting, plus refrigerant oil that's compatible with your A/C system for lubricating the nipple before insertion. The GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose pairs with this fitting. Standard shop tools won't substitute for the clip closing pliers since the pliers have to sit square on the connection points and stay square through the whole close. Worth noting: once you've assembled it, those E-Z Clip components can't be reused if you ever take it apart.
