Start by cutting the hose square, then slide two correctly sized clips onto the hose end. Lubricate the nipple with a generous amount of refrigerant or A/C compressor oil that is compatible with the system, then push the nipple in until the hose is seated tight against the nipple shoulder with no gap. Snap the cage into the nipple groove so it can rotate, slide the clips into the cage arm channels, and close the clips using the FT1357 clip closing pliers while keeping the pliers square on the connection points.
