Will this fitting work with standard AC hoses?

This E-Z Clip series fitting is designed for use with GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose. Using other hose types may result in leaks or unsafe assemblies.

what tool do i need to close the clips on these fittings? got a couple on hand but not sure if i already have what it takes or need to order something else too

Closing the clips requires the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. Those are a specific tool for this job and need to be positioned square on the clip connection points when you close them. You'll also want a guillotine blade, the FT1356 or something equivalent, to get a clean square cut on the hose before you start. If you're missing either of those, go ahead and pick them up before you begin the assembly.
