You'll need a few specific items to do the assembly right. Two appropriately sized clips and a cage go on with each fitting. The nipple gets lubricated with refrigerant or A/C compressor oil before insertion, so have that on hand. For cutting the hose you need a guillotine blade like the FT1356 or something equivalent that gives you a clean square cut. Then to close the clips you need the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. The hose itself has to be GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose. That's the full kit of what you're working with.
