E-Z Clip Series Fitting, 3/4-16 Female O-Ring (Short Pilot), -10 Hose, 45 deg Elbow

This Eaton Aeroquip fitting is made for a -10 size hose.

For a tight turn, it’s a 45 degree elbow E-Z Clip fitting made for -10 hose, with a 3/4-16 UNF female O-ring connection and a short pilot.

Pretty straightforward once you run through it a time or two. Cut your hose square, then slide two appropriately sized clips onto the cut end before anything else. Oil up the nipple good with compressor oil compatible with your refrigerant system, because skipping that step makes insertion a real fight. Push the nipple into the hose until there's zero gap between the hose end and the shoulder on the nipple. From there, snap the cage into the groove on the nipple until it can rotate freely in that groove, then slide your clips over the cage arms and into the channels. Finish it off by closing the clips with FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers, keeping them square on the connection points the whole time. That's all there is to it, no power tools, no crimping machine needed.
