Product Questions & Answers

What all do I need on hand before putting one of these fittings together? Don't want to get halfway through and realize I'm missing something.
Question by: Roy R on Aug 19, 2025, 4:06 PM
Before you start, make sure you've got clip closing pliers (Eaton Aeroquip part FT1357), a guillotine blade or comparable square-cut hose cutter (FT1356 works), refrigerant oil that's compatible with your system, two appropriately sized clips, the cage, and the GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose. The nipple assembly comes with two black o-rings already on it, and those should stay exactly where they are. Don't pull them off or swap them out. Once you've got all that together, the assembly goes pretty straightforward: cut the hose square, slide on the clips, oil the nipple well, seat it flush against the hose shoulder, snap on the cage, slide the clips over the cage arms, and close them with the pliers. Skipping the oil on the nipple is probably the most common mistake, so don't shortchange that step.

Will this fitting hold up if I'm using it with a multi-refrigerant hose? Don't want any leaks.
Question by: Wayne R on Sep 3, 2025, 2:53 PM
This fitting is designed specifically for use with GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hoses, so it should provide a secure, leak-free connection when properly installed. Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully and use the correct clip closing pliers.

got a -10 GH134 multi-refrigerant hose, is this the straight fitting that goes with it or am i mixing stuff up
Question by: Johnny J on Sep 5, 2025, 8:57 AM
For a GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose in -10 size, this fitting is set up to match. It is an E-Z Clip straight fitting that uses the correct cage and two properly sized clips, and it is meant to be assembled with clip closing pliers instead of a crimp.
