What size hose does this splicer work with? I'm using a -12 size right now.

does this fitting work without any kind of crimping machine or special power tools? trying to put together an A/C hose repair out in the field and ain't got access to all that equipment

No power supply or crimping machine needed for this one. The E-Z Clip system works by sliding clips onto the hose, snapping a cage onto the nipple groove, and closing the clips with the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. That's the only special tool required. As long as you've got those pliers, a clean square cut on the hose, and some compressor oil to lubricate the nipple before insertion, you can complete the assembly without any shop equipment.
