got a lathe with a #4 morse taper in the tailstock, is this bit gonna seat right or do i need an adapter

With a #4 Morse taper shank, it’s meant to fit directly into a compatible #4 MT spindle or tailstock as a self-holding taper. If your machine is already set up for #4 MT tooling, you should not need an adapter.
