Product Questions & Answers

Got a line that needs 3/4 inch ID hose, is this one rated for 3500 psi working pressure or is that the burst number
Question by: Janet B on Feb 23, 2026, 9:20 PM
Working pressure is 3500 PSI on this hose. The burst pressure is listed separately at 14000 PSI.

running 3/4 inch hydraulic lines on some equipment that sees pretty steady use, and i need to know if this hose can handle 3500 psi continuous or if that's more of a peak rating
Question by: Chad A on Jan 2, 2026, 6:07 AM
3500 PSI is the maximum operating pressure for this hose, and it holds a burst rating of 14,000 PSI, which gives you a 4:1 safety factor in line with standard hydraulic hose ratings. For steady, continuous use at or near that pressure ceiling, the hose is built for it. The double wire braid reinforcement is what carries that load, and the 600,000 impulse cycle rating backs up its durability under repeated pressure events rather than just static conditions.

Will this hose hold up okay in a hydraulic system running at 3000 PSI?
Question by: Rex W on Apr 17, 2025, 1:48 PM
This double wire braid hose can handle up to 3500 PSI maximum operating pressure, so it should work fine for your 3000 PSI system.

got a tight spot to route this line. how sharp can i bend that 3/4 hose without kinkin it?
Question by: Stan T on Mar 30, 2025, 1:43 PM
For routing, the minimum bend radius on this 0.75 inch ID SAE 100R16 Type S hose is 4.75 inches. Staying at or above that bend radius helps keep it from kinking and protects the reinforcement.

hose rated for 3500 PSI but what's the burst pressure on it? trying to figure out if theres enough safety margin for our system
Question by: Jean H on Sep 11, 2025, 11:42 AM
Burst pressure on this one comes in at 14,000 PSI, which puts you at a 4:1 safety ratio over the working pressure of 3,500 PSI. That's a solid margin for most hydraulic service applications and meets standard industry expectations for double wire braid construction.
