hose has to handle both hydraulic fluid and some water-based coolant running through the same line on our press setup, is that gonna be a problem with this one?

Both petroleum-based hydraulic fluid and water-based fluids fall within what this hose is rated for, so running either through it is fine. The synthetic rubber tube is what makes that dual compatibility work. Just make sure whatever fluid you're using falls into one of those two categories and you're good to go.
