Got a cylinder with a 3-inch bore that needs a new piston seal, will this one fit right, and what groove size am I working with?

For a 3.00 inch bore, this seal fits a groove diameter of 2.624 inches. The piston diameter it's built around is 2.997 inches, with a tolerance of +0/-0.004. One thing worth noting is that those piston diameter dimensions assume the piston doesn't have wear rings installed. If yours does, that changes the fit calculation.

For a 3.00 inch bore, this seal matches that bore size and it’s set up around a 2.624 inch groove diameter, with a piston diameter (F) of 2.997 inches (+0/-0.004). Bore tolerance is +0.004/-0, and the groove width tolerance is +0.005/-0, so it’s meant to fit within those dimensions.
