Hey, will this work on my die casting machine?

This valve is definitely suitable for die casting and foundry applications, along with machine tools, marine/offshore setups, presses, primary metal, paper, test equipment/simulation, and turbine control.

running this on a press that tops out around 3,200 psi, do I need anything special for the subplate?

At pressures over 3,000 psi, a steel subplate or manifold is required. Gray iron subplates are not rated for that range with this valve. As long as your subplate is steel and rated appropriately, you're good to go at 3,200 psi. The valve itself handles up to 5,075 psi max operating pressure, so the valve body won't be your limiting factor.
