got a D05 subplate setup already. is this valve gonna bolt right up or am i chasing adapters

Fit is based on the ISO4401-AC-05-4-A interface, which is the same pattern used for NFPA D05 subplate and manifold mounting. It’s made to mount on those industry standard surfaces, so you should not need an adapter as long as your existing surface is a D05 pattern.

Wondering if this valve can handle hydraulic oil okay, or is it just for special fluids?

Ports P, A, and B are rated to 3600 PSI when you're running petroleum oil. For high water base fluids, that drops to 1000 PSI.
