i keep seeing “2.0 qt resvr kt” in the name, what exactly is this kit for?

For Concentric Rockford GC8000 and GC8001 series power unit kits, this is the 2.0 quart reservoir kit from JS Barnes. It is meant to be used as the reservoir component in that power unit kit setup.

You can use that kit for exactly that model. The reservoir holds 2.0 quarts and is built by Concentric Rockford specifically to fit the GC8000 and GC8001 series power units.
