What sort of machine would you typically find this check valve in?

You'll often see these used in harvesters and refuse haulers, but they also fit well in a variety of other mobile and industrial applications.

Running this on a refuse hauler and need to know if it'll hold up to some pretty gnarly temperature swings. What kind of range are we talking?

Rated for extreme limits of -40°F up to 248°F, so temperature swings on a refuse hauler are well within what this valve is built to handle. Cold morning startups and heat buildup through a long shift are both covered by that range. Buna-N seals are used throughout, which hold up well across those conditions.
