what exactly does "no adjustable ends" mean for this clamp? trying to figure out if it'll work for our setup or if we need something different

Fixed-end clamps like this one are built to a set size rather than offering any range of adjustment. For a 1-1/2 NB application where the pipe or tube diameter is already known and consistent, that's usually fine. You get a more predictable, repeatable hold because there's no moving adjustment hardware that can slip or loosen over time. If your setup needs to accommodate varying sizes, you'd want to look at an adjustable-style clamp instead.

Fixed ends are part of the deal on this clamp assembly, so you are not adjusting it at the ends. It is meant to give a consistent hold without extra adjustment hardware.
