got a -24 code 61 setup, is this kit the right size or am i gonna be fightin it

For a -24 Code 61 split flange connection, this kit matches that dash size and uses a 2.38 inch flange head diameter. The set comes with two flange halves, four grade 8 hex bolts, four lock washers, and one 90 durometer Buna-N O-ring.

Does this kit work with petroleum-based hydraulic fluid, or do I need something different for that?

Petroleum-based fluid is exactly what the Buna-N O-Ring in this kit is built for. Water-based hydraulic fluids are also compatible. The usable temperature range runs from -40°F up to 250°F, so most standard hydraulic systems will fall well within that window. If your setup runs fluids outside those parameters, a different O-Ring material would be needed, but for conventional petroleum or water-based systems this kit handles it fine.
