hose is clear or just called "clear white"? trying to figure out if i can actually see the fluid moving through it without cutting anything open

You can see right through it. The hose is transparent, so watching fluid flow is straightforward during operation. That visibility is pretty useful for catching air pockets, blockages, or anything unexpected without having to shut things down and disconnect fittings.
